VGA-кабель - аналоговый сигнал, возможны искры на контактах, скачки напряжения.

Там есть и другие факторы: например, чтоб видеокарта не перегревалась, не глючила. Есть программы-тесты, нелишне глянуть, какая температура в максимальной нагрузке.
Конечно, заменить термопасту - не сильно сложно, но это не всегда помогает, если видюха горячая в играх.
Все эти видеокарты, что ты перечислил, - давным-давно устаревшие. Нормальная видеокарта сам понимаешь сколько стоит.

Разъем на материнке там не пострадает никак от искры при горячем VGA-подключении.
Ты видел эту видеокарту - AMD Radeon HD 6570 2GB DDR3?
Там VGA-порт подключен на самом финале шлейфом, и искра не пробьет все то количество электронных компонентов по пути от этого шлейфа к разъему материнки. Но биос будет знать, что там какую-то гадость не так подключили в виде видеокарты. Там защиты везде, и у чипа видеокарты тоже защиты. Так что за материнскую плату там можно вообще не беспокоиться.

Не, 6570 не видел, но когда-то была 7870. Достаточно геморройная и страшно требовательная к БП, а если ты в курсе, при недостаточной мощности падает напряжение, соответственно, увеличивается сила тока, и, во вторую очередь, после системы питания чипа, (там че-та типа дросселей стоит) именно контакты начинают греться, т.к. наибольшее сопротивление. Искра проскочила, пробило какой-то диод, приехали. Нагар.
Это точка зрения дилетанта, конечно, я далек от электроники.

Дюк, у меня на видеокарте не работает второй кулер. Причина - в том, что предыдущий владелец пережал проводки у второго кулера (когда менял термопасту), и исчез контакт.
Так вот, видеокарта в тяжелых играх греется 95+ градусов.
И представь, насколько лень решать эту проблему с проводком, что до сих пор за лет 5 не решил.
